Fear of Communism, of corroding Democracy and personal liberty and rights, is the mantra of, Freedom and You. Made during the Cold War it shows a hypothetical town behind the Iron Curtain where young Russians study American economic, political, and religious institutions. Through this town, and the consequent stereotypical Russian rhetoric of the American capitalist system being, outdated, stating how they will soon infiltrate every aspect of American life to, take control, the message of appreciating and fighting for the American way of life is espoused. Features Jack Webb as a man learning what life would be like in the heart of a communist regime and the dangers of being indifferent to his country.
