Brief Description:   Jimmy and Johnny, twins, are use to study the effects of physical activity on human growth and development.  One twin is allowed to play and gets lots of physical activity such as swimming and moving huge building blocks, while the other twin is kept bed ridden.  This study lacked every ethical and moral standard, while yielding predictable results, but nonetheless provides an excellent glimpse into the minds of the scientific community of the time.


Disc 10: Menstruation Films (1950's)

Brief Synopsis of DVD: These campy classic feminine hygiene films discuss the menstrual cycle, having your first period and the female reproductive system.  Common physical and emotional symptoms such as pms, cramps and bleeding and the proper application of tampons and feminine napkins are covered at length. 


Title #1: Molly Grows Up

Brief Description: A rather sexist film, Molly Grows Up, presents the basics of the menstrual cycle to a young girl.  Classroom lessons and advice from family teach the young teenage girl what to expect and how to manage her menstruations.  The film was sponsored by the Personal Products Corporation, which delicately plugs its line of feminine products in the film.
