When Junior complains, Aw, who cares about rubber anyway? Grandpa, a retired rubber worker, must set him straight! Speaking of Rubber is a phenomenal unintentional comedy, with an absurd level of corny enthusiasm. But while the goofy 1950s style delivery is hilarious, the film is an actually interesting exploration of the history of rubber, its manufacturing, and applications. Touring rubber plants and factories, the multitudinous uses of rubber are indeed a curiosity. Speaking of Rubber is an enjoyable film on many levels.
