Mustache twirling villains steal the show in the western action film Code of the Cactus. Tim McCoy gets the lead role as Lightning Bill Carson, a government agent from the department of defense sent to infiltrate a cattle rustling operation. But while McCoy provides some laughs and plays the Hero adroitly, its the fiendish villains Forrest Taylor, Ben Corbett, and usually-a-good-guy Dave Tex OBrien that provide insidious mischief and some unintentional hilarity. Code of the Cactus succeeds based on its sturdy, professional cast and tried and true Wild West flair.
