Andys Animal Alphabet, hosted by Andy the baby orangutan, gives a tour of the Bronx Zoo by his veterinarian friend. The animals are introduced alphabetically, first by using a picture flash card then by a view in the Bronx zoo. What is interesting about this animal alphabet is the inclusion of exotic birds from other parts of the world. Included in the list are the aoudads of North Africa, the scarlet ibis, the marmosets and the umbrella bird of South America. The nyala, an antelope in South Africa, was also included as well as the xenopus frog of Sub-Saharan Africa and the yak from Tibet.
