Length: 10 Minutes

This silent travelogue shows the famous Polynesian island, Easter Island. And what would be a glimpse of Easter Island without the Moai, or Easter Island Heads? These 887 monumental statues were constructed by the early settlers of the island, the Rapanui and remain a source of interest today. While silent, we see a beautiful islands architecture and mystery from the eyes of a group of Americans exploring the island for the first time. Not only are the famous statues shown in all their splendor, but the everyday life of the islanders is shown as they prepare cargo, herd sheep, and live their peaceful lives on their historically preserved island. An amazing color movie of Easter Island in the 1960s.
