All at once, people had amenities that before were unimaginable, like a vacuum cleaner and an automatic sewing machine. Serving as a fun look into the early 1900s culture and mannerisms, we look into the excitement surrounding electrical technology. New devices were being created to take advantage of electricity. Many of the devices were not practical – such as the electrical cup, but nonetheless, became a novelty to a people used to doing everything by hand. Other devices, like the electrical car, were more practical and extremely valuable as a technological ideas, even today. The Home Electrical is a neat look at the origins of electrical appliances and luxuries such as electric heat and the power outlet.
