Making 50 Million cars is a parade worthy achievement, or at least General Motors seems to think so. In Achievement USA the corporate headquarters of GM at Flint, Michigan put on a celebration not only to celebrate 50 million cars produced, but the family who made such production possible. This includes interesting shots of Flint, Michigan in the 1940s as well as wonderfully campy shots of homemade floats and GM liberally patting itself on the back.
Touch Of Magic
Touch Of Magic
Produced: 1961
Length: 10 Minutes
Surreal scenes of singing and dancing pave the way for this campy advertisement by General Motors. Touch of Magic explores all the newest designs of the 1960s and the designs of tomorrow through magically transporting the main actors through time and space. While particular attention is paid to GMs automobiles, their shiny new kitchen appliances are given plenty of screen and singing time. Part musical, all advertisement this is a must see classic.
