Middle East
Middle East
Produced: 1933
Length: 16 Minutes
A silent film that gives a rare glimpse into 1930s Jerusalem and The Middle East is a must see. Shot by an amateur with a hand held camera this film takes an almost documentary look into the city of Jerusalem. Complete with scenes of street vendors cooking and selling food, people praying and mourning, hookah smoking, and marvellous panoramic views of the city there is not a hint of dishonesty or an American slant as the camera operator attempts to reveal a historicaly rich city in work, play and prayer.
