Produced: 1950s

Length: 24 Minutes

Remember those days when shirts came in brown wrapping, and you had the choice to get it wrapped in a shirt box? Remember the days when quality was not put in the place of quantity? At the forefront of quality control in the 1950s, J.C Penny was making sure that the products they sold were made from the highest quality fabrics and materials and that the salespeople were able to sell a product that they could stand behind as honest individuals. Time and attention was paid to the selection of everything, right down to the type of cotton used in shirts. The film includes fabulous vintage shots of clothing being assembled in a factory and the process of buying products for stores such as J.C Penny. Above all, we are left with the feeling that J.C.
