Banks and Credits

Produced: 1940

Length: 12 Minutes

Banking is a valuable community service. When a person makes a deposit they are not only investing their money in the future, they are investing in the community. Such is the rhetoric of Banks and Credits. We follow three clients of the National Bank as they make deposits, learn about credit, and see how banks affect businesses. Not only a revealing look into the banking industry and what makes a bank tick, but an urge for the post war population to invest their money in the bank.

The Wise Use of Credit

The Wise Use of Credit

Produced: 1940

Length: 12 Minutes

Credit equals mans confidence in man, credit is about trust and it is used by millions of Americans for the things they want and need. So says Mr. Money, a savant on the use of credit and banking. Mr. Money takes two promising teenagers, who are friends of his, and shows them what credit means and how they can obtain good credit. According to him credit must be earned by being a trustworthy character, developing capital in the form of savings and other property, and having the capacity to pay your bills. An informative, albeit campy, explanation of what credit meant in the 1940s.
