The Watts Towers have quite an interesting history of survival. After being constructed by an American Immigrant (Simon Rodia) and standing on his property for many years, the city of Los Angeles decided to have the Towers removed. After structural tests showed the towers were sturdy and safe, the landmark was preserved and remained at the same location. During the Watts Riots, the Towers also survived without damage. Come and see a first-hand glance at the Towers and their creator in this vintage 1957 film, digitized and preserved on DVD.
