- A great movie about a group of American troops taking over an island on the
957th day of World War II.

- This movie will stir up a lot of intellectual
conversation if used in a classroom. This is an excellent film about how the
governments of different countries vary in their political philosophy from

What To Do in a Gas Attack
(1942) - 14 minutes running time
- Public education film about how to react to a gas
attack or "war gas" as the film calls it, on American soil. Panic and fear are
the real enemy, or so this film says.
Wartime Nutrition
(1943) - 11 minutes

- A terrific look at the work of government
welfare agencies during WWII, as well as narration about the recommended eating
habits of civilians and soldiers.
Amateur Film: San
Francisco: V-J Day (1945)
- 14 minutes running time
- Amazing historical footage of San Francisco streets right after the
announcement of the Japanese surrender. Everyone was so happy and the streets
filled up quickly with riotous celebration. This movie makes you feel like you
were there too.
DISC 4:
D-Day Minus One (1945) - 17 minutes running time
- This film is all about the U.S. 82nd and 101st Airborne
Division during the 1944 invasion of France.
Special Delivery (1946) - 12 minutes running time
- A lot of information and footage of planes can be found in
this film, as well as a great overview of the Bikini Atomic Bomb tests.
Radio at War
(1944) - 21 minutes running time
- This is the best radio and communication film about WWII technology. Learn all
about how radio was used in the last great war!
DISC 5:
World at War (1945)
- 43 minutes running time
- This film was put together using rare news and archived footage to show an
entire history of World War II up to the attack on Pearl Harbor and U.S.
mobilization and involvement in the war.
All Out for Victory (1943) -
21 minutes running time
- During WWII, disabled workers pitched in to the WWII cause, working at a
Firestone factory that had been switched to wartime production. This fascinating
film shows the manufacturing of many different products, from tires to tanks to
ammunition to life vests and the symbiosis between domestic mobilization and the
success of the troops fighting abroad.
